A retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice William Atuguba, has linked the defeat of former Asante Akim North MP Andy Appiah-Kubi in the 2024 parliamentary election to his campaign for the removal of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking at the D.F. Annan Memorial Lecture, Justice Atuguba said Mr. Appiah-Kubi's defeat was the “price” he paid for leading calls for the former Finance Minister to step aside.
His comments formed part of broader reflections on Ghana's political system, accountability and governance.
