The Dagbon Kingdom has observed the third-day Islamic prayers for the late Overlord, His Majesty Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari II, who passed away on July 12, 2026, in South Africa, where he had travelled for medical treatment.
The special prayers brought together traditional leaders, family members, Islamic clerics and mourners to honour the memory and legacy of the late Yaa Naa.
The ceremony forms part of the traditional and Islamic rites being observed following the passing of the revered Dagbon overlord.
