President John Dramani Mahama says government is finalising processes to compensate persons affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.
Speaking during his Resetting Ghana tour of the Volta Region, he assured that the compensation process would be conducted fairly to ensure victims receive the support due them.
Government allocated GH¢225 million in the 2025 Budget to support those affected by the 2023 disaster, with additional funding expected if the amount proves insufficient.
