Three weeks after Venezuela's earthquakes, survivors face an uncertain future
Three weeks after devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela, rescue operations are winding down as authorities begin the long task of rebuilding shattered communities. Many families remain displaced and uncertain about their future, with some saying they have received little information beyond damage assessments of their homes. While government crews have started repairing some state-sponsored housing in La Guaira, many survivors fear it could take years before they can return home. International search-and-rescue teams have largely departed, leaving humanitarian organisations to provide food, medical care and other essential support as recovery enters a new phase.
Al Jazeera's Noris Soto reports from La Guaira, one of the regions hardest hit by the earthquakes.
