UK PM Starmer jokes about Trump, red cards ahead of Argentina match
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, alongside other politicians, joked about losing his party's backing and comparing it to getting red cards in the World Cup on Wednesday, July 15. Starmer also poked fun at U.S. President Donald Trump's red card controversy at the World Cup and added that he "doesn't care what the score is as long as England wins" ahead of their semi-final against long-time rivals Argentina later in the day.
Starmer has announced his resignation and will officially step down as prime minister after a new Labour Party leader is named. Take a look. #worldcup2026 #mtjag
