We Talk: Belarusian creator gets a first-hand experience of AI-powered wellness in China
The 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance marks the ninth edition of the world's flagship international summit on artificial intelligence. Set to be held in Shanghai, China, from July 17 to 20, the event features the theme "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future," bringing together global industry practitioners, scholars, and policymakers to exchange insights on AI innovation and cross-border governance.
The far-reaching value of inclusive, people-centric AI applications can be vividly felt through on-the-ground experiences across Chinese cities. Ekaterina Kaligaeva, a vlogger from Belarus, embarked on a one-day urban tour across Beijing to visit a string of public smart health service sites, immersing herself in the new model of urban wellness empowered by digital technology. At Liuyin Park, a designated smart demonstration park, she interacted with AI touchscreens and followed virtual coaches to practice time-honored traditional wellness exercises like tai chi and baduanjin. Kaligaeva later reflected on her experience, noting that healthcare is a shared priority for people worldwide. What truly resonated with her is not advanced technology itself but how intelligent health facilities have settled into community parks and grassroots service centers, building an accessible, universal public health service system that brings the convenience of artificial intelligence to ordinary people's daily routines, fitness and wellness regimens.
