‘Waste will be cleared by Wednesday’ – Keep Greater Accra Clean Office assures residents

The Office of the Keep Greater Accra Clean Project under the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council has assured residents that waste gathered during the two-day National Clean-Up Exercise will be cleared by Wednesday, July 15.

The assurance comes amid concerns that uncollected heaps of refuse could be washed back into drains, worsening flooding risks across parts of the region.

Speaking during a donation exercise by the Hudai Foundation and the National Mosque Complex to flood victims, Chief Coordinator of the project, Tony Addison Dodoo, said the clean-up exercise highlighted the scale of Ghana's sanitation challenges and the need for sustained efforts beyond one-off activities.
