Minority demands answers from Eric Opoku over Nkokonkitinkiti programme

The Minority in Parliament is demanding that the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, appear before the House to provide an update on the status of the Nkokonkitinkiti programme.

The call follows the Minister's disclosure before the Committee on Assurances that some beneficiary households have started consuming the birds supplied under the initiative.

Addressing Parliament, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin said beneficiaries who have moved away from the objectives of the programme must be held accountable and explain their actions to government.

The Minority is seeking clarity on the implementation, progress, and impact of the initiative, which was introduced to support poultry production and improve livelihoods.
