The Minority in Parliament is demanding that the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, appear before the House to explain the circumstances surrounding the arrest and detention of Dennis Miracles Aboagye by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

The Minority argues that the three-day detention of the former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation amounts to a violation of his fundamental human rights.

Addressing Parliament, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin criticised EOCO's handling of the arrest, insisting that investigations involving political figures must be conducted fairly and in accordance with due process.

The Minority is calling for greater accountability and transparency in the handling of such investigations.
