ICE breaks silence on Maine shooting: The questons that remain

An ICE officer fatally shot 26-year-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine. Guerrero was from Colombia, a neighbor said. He was authorized to work in the US and was issued a Social Security number, the Maine Immigrants' Rights Coalition said. He wasn't the target of the immigration operation, Sen. Angus King said. An ICE officer opened fire “fearing for public safety” as the victim “attempted to flee the scene” in a vehicle, the Department of Homeland Security said without detailing why the officer believed Guerrero posed a risk.
