On the third segment of The Point of View with Bernard Avle, attention turns to the state of some of Ghana's major road projects, including the Pokuase–Amasaman–Dodowa roads and the Accra-Kumasi Expressway project.
Bernard Avle examines the challenges affecting the Pokuase-Amasaman-Dodowa road projects, including difficulties faced by contractors, while residents appeal for urgent government intervention to ensure the projects are completed on schedule.
The programme also looks at the current state of the Accra-Kumasi Expressway project, following an inspection by the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS). Military personnel have been deployed to support supervision and help accelerate preparatory works, including clearing sections of the road for construction.
Bernard Avle engages Ing. Kwabena Bempong, Engineer and Road Construction Consultant, who describes the Accra-Kumasi Expressway as an ambitious project but insists it is achievable with proper planning, resources, and execution.
