Northern New England faces rare tornado and severe thunderstorm threat

An unusual combination of intense heat, humidity and a powerful cold front could trigger dangerous thunderstorms in parts of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine Tuesday, with damaging winds, large hail and a rare risk of strong tornadoes.
