Astro Turf project stalls as financier clashes with Asante Mampong Assembly

A disagreement between a private financier and the Asante Mampong Municipal Assembly has stalled the redevelopment of Tadiem Park into an Astro Turf facility.

The financier, Beatrice Owarewaa Siaw, says the Assembly has obstructed a project she initiated to provide a modern recreational facility for the community.

The Municipal Assembly, however, maintains that the project commenced without the required approvals and insists due process must be followed before construction can continue.

The dispute has left the project at a standstill, raising concerns among residents who had hoped for improved sporting infrastructure in the municipality.
