Two days after the nationwide clean-up exercise, heaps of refuse remain uncollected in several parts of Accra, raising concerns about the sustainability and impact of the sanitation drive.
A visit by Channel One News to some communities in the capital revealed waste and debris still left along the shoulders of roads, despite the national exercise aimed at improving sanitation and clearing flood-prone areas.
The situation has renewed calls for improved waste collection systems and sustained efforts beyond clean-up campaigns to maintain cleaner communities.
