Accra Ridge Church is calling on churches across Ghana to play a more independent and active role in national development by raising principled leaders, promoting practical Christianity, and speaking truth to power.

Ahead of the Church's second 90th Anniversary Lecture on July 15, Auxiliary Minister Rev. Fr. Reginald I.O. Lawson said churches must intentionally identify and mentor individuals with leadership potential to serve the nation with integrity.

He stressed that Christianity should go beyond preaching and be demonstrated through actions that transform communities and contribute to Ghana's development.

Rev. Fr. Lawson also emphasised the need for the Church to remain independent of the State so it can speak with credibility on national issues while helping to raise professionals capable of addressing the country's development challenges.
