YEA To train 2000 Youth in AI, Cybersecurity and cloud computing For Free

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement a digital skills and employment programme targeting 2,000 Ghanaian youth.

The initiative will provide Microsoft-certified microdegree training in areas including cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data analytics, and other digital disciplines.

Participants will also have access to paid internships, employment opportunities, and digital income pathways upon completion of the programme.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, YEA Chief Executive Officer Malik Basintale said the initiative forms part of the agency's commitment to tackling youth unemployment by equipping young people with in-demand digital skills.

He added that the Government of Ghana will fully fund the programme, with applications available free of charge through the YEA website.
