Government To Recruit 400 Scientists to Boost Research and Innovation

The Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology has announced plans to recruit 400 scientists to strengthen Ghana's scientific research institutions.

Speaking during Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang's visit to the Ministry, the Acting Minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah, said the Ministry is engaging the Ministry of Finance to secure financial clearance for the recruitment.

According to him, the initiative is aimed at addressing critical human resource gaps in research and innovation while strengthening the country's scientific and technological development.

The proposed recruitment forms part of broader efforts to build institutional capacity and support evidence-based solutions to Ghana's development challenges.
