Carlos Queiroz set to remain Black Stars coach after World Cup talks

Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz is expected to remain in charge after holding discussions with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following Ghana's elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Queiroz, whose performance-based contract expires in August, guided Ghana to one victory at the tournament before the team's Round of 32 exit.

The talks reportedly focused on a possible extension of his stay as the GFA begins preparations for Ghana's upcoming competitive fixtures.

The football body is expected to make decisions on the technical direction of the Black Stars as it looks ahead to future assignments.
