Asokore Mampong MCE Orders Arrest of Public Toilet Operator Over Waste Disposal

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong, Ben Abdallah Alhassan, has ordered the arrest of a public toilet operator at Akwatia Line over allegations that waste from the facility was being discharged into a nearby drain.

The MCE says the action forms part of efforts to enforce sanitation regulations, protect public health, and curb practices that contribute to environmental pollution and flooding.

The move comes amid renewed efforts by local authorities to improve sanitation and ensure strict compliance with environmental laws.
