Eastern China braces for Typhoon Bavi: Authorities issue evacuation orders for 1.8m people

China is preparing for Typhoon Bavi under its highest rainstorm alert. Flights, ferries, and rail services have been suspended, thousands of boats returned to shore, and emergency teams are on standby as heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding threaten several provinces.
