Ga Mantse calls for collective action as Accra turns out for National Clean-Up Exercise

Day one of the National Clean-Up Exercise recorded massive participation across Accra, with residents, institutions, traditional leaders, security agencies, and other stakeholders joining efforts to improve sanitation.

The Ga Mantse has called on Ghanaians to see cleanliness as a shared responsibility, urging individuals and communities to take ownership of their surroundings beyond the national exercise.

Participants took part in activities including clearing waste, desilting drains, and cleaning public spaces as part of efforts to restore flood-affected areas and reduce the risk of future flooding.

The exercise forms part of a broader national sanitation drive aimed at promoting responsible waste disposal, improving public health, and building cleaner communities.
