NO POLITICAL FAVOURITISM in sanitation enforcement — Greater Accra Minister warns

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, is calling on Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to strictly enforce sanitation bye-laws after the two-day National Clean-Up exercise, regardless of political affiliation.

Speaking to Channel One News during a monitoring visit to Nungua Station, the Minister said political interference has weakened efforts by assemblies to sanction sanitation offenders.

She warned that such interference will no longer be tolerated, stressing that sanitation laws must apply equally to all individuals and businesses.

The Regional Minister urged MMDAs to sustain the momentum from the clean-up exercise and ensure residents comply with environmental sanitation regulations.
