EPA shuts down Dukes Fuel Station over blocked drains and sanitation breaches

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has ordered the closure of Dukes Fuel Station at Kasoa Second Bus Stop over poor sanitation conditions.

The decision follows the discovery of choked drains in front of the facility, which authorities say have contributed to flooding along the highway and created risks for motorists and pedestrians.

Speaking to Channel One News, the Kasoa Area Head of the EPA, Abbas Dawood, said blocked drains cause rainwater to overflow onto the main road, worsening flooding and threatening public safety.

The closure forms part of enforcement measures by authorities to ensure businesses comply with environmental and sanitation regulations.
