Azumah Resources Ghana Limited has dismissed reports suggesting that the Black Volta Gold Project has been ordered to be handed back to its former foreign investors, describing the claims as false and a misrepresentation of ongoing legal proceedings.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the company said there is no ruling by either the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitral tribunal or the High Court of England directing that control of the project be transferred to IGIC Pty, Cangol Pty, or Azumah Resources Australia Limited.
The company maintained that the legal processes surrounding the project are ongoing and urged the public to rely on verified information regarding developments in the dispute.
