Venezuela's earthquake survivors: Volunteers turn Mcdonald’s into clinic
Hospitals across La Guaira were damaged by last month's twin earthquakes, leaving services overwhelmed and some facilities closed. Volunteer doctors, nurses and emergency responders have set up a temporary clinic inside a McDonald's on the Caribbean coast, providing consultations, wound care and follow-up treatment for survivors, including children and the elderly. Organisers say the centre will remain open as long as donations allow, as volunteer-run sites help bridge gaps in Venezuela's strained health system.
