The Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Seth Twum-Akwaboah, says the high cost of production remains one of the biggest obstacles affecting the growth and competitiveness of local industries.

Speaking during discussions on Channel One TV's Quarterly Economic Review, he highlighted the challenges businesses face in expanding operations and competing effectively in both local and international markets.

He stressed the need for interventions that reduce production costs and create a more favourable environment for industries to thrive.
