The Head of Trading, Global Markets at Absa Bank Ghana Limited, Andrews Akoto, is urging local industries to explore Ghana's capital market as a source of long-term financing for business expansion.

Speaking on Channel One TV's Quarterly Economic Review, where experts assessed the mid-year performance of Ghana's economy, Mr. Akoto said traditional bank loans are often not suitable for establishing factories and large-scale industrial projects because such investments require patient, long-term capital.

He encouraged businesses to take advantage of alternative financing options available through the capital market to support growth, expansion, and industrial development.

The discussion forms part of efforts to examine how economic policies and financial solutions can support businesses and households across Ghana.
