Flood Clean-Up Is Not Political – Talensi MP Appeals to Ghanaians

The Member of Parliament for Talensi, Daniel Mahama, is calling on Ghanaians to set aside political differences and support the government's national flood clean-up exercise.

Speaking to Channel One News, the MP described the initiative as a non-partisan effort aimed at protecting lives, improving sanitation and reducing the risk of future flooding.

He urged citizens to participate by desilting gutters, clearing drains and cleaning their surroundings, while also expressing sympathy to victims of the recent floods.

Government has declared Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026, as National General Cleaning Days in seven flood-affected regions as part of recommendations by the Post-Flood Mitigation Committee.
