GRA Approves Tax-Deductible Donations for Burma Camp Redevelopment Project

The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has announced that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has approved tax-deductible status for eligible donations towards the Burma Camp Redevelopment Project.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony in Accra, he said the move is intended to encourage support from corporate organisations, financial institutions, philanthropists and individuals towards the construction of modern accommodation facilities for military personnel.

According to the Deputy Defence Minister, improving military housing is critical to enhancing the welfare of soldiers and strengthening Ghana's national security.

The Burma Camp Redevelopment Project seeks to replace old structures with modern residential facilities to provide better living conditions for members of the Ghana Armed Forces and their families.
