Son of man fatally shot by ICE officer demands independent investigation

The family of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo is demanding an independent investigation after he was fatally shot by an ICE officer in Houston on July 7. His son said Salgado Araujo had lived in the United States for 35 years, had no criminal history, and was working toward legal status. Civil rights groups and Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia are calling for the release of all video evidence, while federal authorities say Salgado Araujo ignored commands and attempted to ram an agent with a car during the encounter.
