Customs Division Welcomes New Agents Association to Boost Trade and Revenue

The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has welcomed the formation of the Customs House Agents Association of Ghana (CHAAG), describing it as a major step towards improving professionalism, trade facilitation and revenue mobilisation.
Speaking at the association's inauguration in Accra, Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, Theresa Potakey, said competent and ethical customs brokers play a critical role in ensuring smooth trade processes, accurate revenue assessment and national security.
She urged members of CHAAG to maintain high standards of integrity, invest in continuous training and collaborate closely with the Customs Division to support the modernisation of customs operations.
