“Rain Is No Excuse” – Roads Minister Cautions Contractors

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has cautioned contractors across the country against using adverse weather conditions as an excuse for delays in road project execution.

Speaking during an inspection of the rehabilitation of selected town roads in Jasikan, Dodo Pepesu, Nkwanta and Dambai, as part of his nationwide road inspection tour of the Eastern, Volta and Oti Regions, the Minister urged contractors to properly plan their work around weather conditions.

Mr. Agbodza stressed that although rainfall may occasionally disrupt construction activities, contractors are expected to adjust their work programmes and maximise favourable weather conditions to keep projects on schedule.

He reaffirmed government's commitment to the timely delivery of road infrastructure and called on contractors to honour their contractual obligations while maintaining quality standards.
