According to the DCE, police officers went to arrest a suspected tramadol dealer after receiving a tip-off, but resistance from some community members escalated into a confrontation. Police reportedly opened fire, leaving two people dead and two others injured. Mr. Adu Quist says the situation has since been brought under control, the victims' bodies have been conveyed to the morgue, and investigations are ongoing. He also disclosed that the Regional Police Commander has initiated disciplinary action against the officers involved, while district authorities are planning a community durbar to restore calm. The DCE further expressed concern over reports that what was described as a warning shot may have been fired directly at individuals.
