$300M WORLD BANK FUNDING: Ghana to Upgrade 50 Senior High Schools

The Ministry of Education says it will soon begin a major expansion of infrastructure in senior high schools after securing a $300 million facility from the World Bank to upgrade 50 schools across Ghana.

The project is expected to address critical infrastructure deficits affecting several senior high schools, including Aburi Girls' Senior High School, where concerns have been raised over overcrowding and limited facilities.

Speaking to Channel One News, the Ministry's Media Relations Officer, Hashmin Mohammed, said the programme will be rolled out soon to improve learning conditions and respond to infrastructure challenges facing schools.

The intervention forms part of efforts to expand capacity and provide better facilities for students in senior high schools nationwide.
