Justice Yonny Kulendi has addressed misconceptions surrounding the work of Supreme Court judges, rejecting claims that judicial decisions are influenced by politics or presidential appointments.

Speaking on Citi Breakfast, and later rebroadcast on The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV, Justice Kulendi stressed that judges determine cases based on the law, evidence, and constitutional principles, rather than public opinion or political considerations.

He also attributed delays within Ghana's justice system to a combination of procedural, logistical, and case management challenges, challenging the perception that delays are solely due to judicial inefficiency or corruption.

Justice Kulendi further advocated periodic reviews of the Supreme Court's jurisdiction to improve efficiency while maintaining citizens' access to the country's highest court.
