Muntaka Reveals 1,300 Applicants Failed HIV Screening in Security Recruitment

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has disclosed that 1,300 applicants seeking to join Ghana's security services were unsuccessful after testing positive for HIV during the recruitment process.
According to the Minister, medical screening formed part of the recruitment exercise to assess the health status and suitability of applicants before their selection into the various security agencies.
The disclosure comes alongside other updates on the recruitment process, including screening measures aimed at ensuring candidates meet the required standards for service.
