President John Mahama says the government's flood management strategy is focused on reducing the frequency and impact of flooding through sustainable interventions.
Acknowledging that flooding is a natural disaster experienced in many parts of the world, President Mahama said it may not be completely eliminated but its devastating effects can be significantly reduced through proper planning and long-term solutions.
He said the government's approach is aimed at improving flood resilience, protecting communities and addressing factors that contribute to recurring flooding.
