Mahama Announces Maize Processing Factory for Sissala Under Feed Ghana Programme

President John Mahama has announced plans for government to establish a maize processing factory in the Sissala area under the Feed Ghana Programme.

According to the President, the initiative forms part of a broader plan to establish 10 maize processing factories across the country to support farmers, promote value addition and strengthen Ghana's agricultural value chain.

He said the investment in agro-processing will help create reliable markets for farmers, reduce post-harvest losses and increase opportunities for local production.

The Feed Ghana Programme is aimed at boosting food security, supporting farmers and transforming Ghana's agriculture sector through improved production and processing capacity.
