Angry Residents React as KMA Demolishes Structures Along Adum Waterways

Angry residents have reacted after the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) taskforce moved in to remove structures the Assembly says were illegally erected along waterways behind the COCOBOD building at Adum, near the Asafo Overpass in Kumasi.
The demolition exercise formed part of the Assembly's efforts to clear waterways and create access for desilting works aimed at reducing the risk of flooding in the metropolis.
Residents affected by the exercise expressed concerns over the process, with some claiming they were not given adequate notice before the structures were targeted for removal.
