Agbodza Directs Contractors to Hold On-Site Design Reviews to Avoid Delays

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has directed contractors working on major road and bridge projects to introduce regular on-site design review meetings to facilitate faster technical decisions and prevent delays in project execution.

Speaking during an inspection of the Dambai Bridge project as part of his nationwide road inspection tour of the Oti Region, the Minister said the approach would help accelerate decision-making, reduce unnecessary delays and ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining required engineering standards.

Mr. Agbodza urged contractors to adopt a proactive approach to resolving design challenges, rather than waiting for submitted drawings to go through lengthy review processes before work continues.

He encouraged contractors, engineers, consultants and supervising authorities to collaborate through on-site design review sessions to provide real-time technical inputs and approvals.
