The Ghana AIDS Commission is clarifying issues surrounding the ongoing security services recruitment exercise following reports that more than 1,300 applicants recorded reactive HIV test results.
The Commission has stressed that a reactive result does not amount to a confirmed HIV-positive diagnosis, explaining that further testing is required before a person's status can be established.
It has cautioned against using preliminary results as a basis for discrimination or automatic disqualification, urging the public to rely on accurate medical information and protect the rights of individuals.
