The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has issued a two-month ultimatum to Greenhouse International Development (GH) Limited, the contractor reconstructing the Have–Hohoe Road, to significantly improve progress on the project or risk contract termination.
The Minister says the road, which forms part of the Eastern Corridor Road Project, has been under construction for nearly 14 years but remains far behind schedule.
According to him, only 13 percent of the revised work programme has been completed, and the contractor must raise progress to at least 20 percent within two months to avoid further action.
The government says it is committed to ensuring stalled road projects are completed to ease the burden on motorists and communities.
