Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has criticised the President's use of a helicopter to assess the extent of destruction caused by the June 29, 2026 floods.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, he said six communities in his constituency were submerged and cut off from neighbouring areas due to the flooding, expressing concern that the President has not visited affected residents directly.
Afenyo-Markin called for greater attention to communities impacted by the disaster and urged stronger responses to address the challenges facing flood victims.
