Severe flooding in the Ketu South Municipality has affected more than 2,000 households and displaced over 4,000 residents, with several communities along the Ghana-Togo border bearing the impact.

Channel One TV's Volta Regional Correspondent, Desmond Selase Aggor, reports that many homes have been submerged, with residents facing challenges due to recurring flooding linked to poor drainage systems and water spillage.

Ketu South NADMO Director Fergusson Ahorlu says authorities are working on measures to address the recurring situation while awaiting additional government support.

He said relief items including rice, oil, mattresses, spaghetti, and other supplies have been distributed to affected residents, with more assistance expected.

Authorities are also intensifying public education efforts as they prepare for possible further rains.
