US President Donald Trump said he thinks the US-Iran ceasefire is “over" after both countries exchanged attacks. Trump - who is at the Nato summit in Turkey - said of the Iranian leadership: "I don't want to deal with them anymore, they're scum. They're sick people, they're led by sick people.” He added that negotiators on both sides could continue to talk, but "I think they're wasting their time”. Late on Tuesday, the US said it had fired at more than 80 Iranian targets. In response, Iran said it was targeting US military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait. The US strikes on Tuesday followed attacks on three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has not directly claimed responsibility. Last month, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum of understanding, which extended the ceasefire and aimed to end the conflict "on all fronts”.
