The public urinal at the Prempeh Circuit Court in Kumasi, which has been handling the prosecution of sanitation offenders within the Kumasi Metropolis, is raising concerns over its own sanitary condition.
A visit by Citi News revealed that the facility is in an unkempt and insanitary state, with makeshift concrete flooring and stagnant urine covering parts of the structure.
Some members of the public have expressed frustration over the difficulty in accessing a clean and hygienic urinal, questioning the maintenance standards at the court.
Checks by Citi News indicate that court officials are aware of the situation and have informed the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to intervene.
The Kumasi Metro Environmental Health Officer, Kwaku Opoku, admitted the poor state of the facility and disclosed that the Kumasi Mayor has pledged to construct new and improved washroom facilities for the court.
