The Member of Parliament for Bekwai and Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament's Sanitation and Water Resources Committee, Ralph Poku Adusie, is calling for the removal of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, over what he describes as the worsening sanitation situation in the capital.
The MP argues that the Regional Minister should take responsibility for the poor state of cleanliness in parts of Accra, as concerns over waste management and sanitation continue to dominate public discussions following recent flooding.
His comments come amid renewed calls for stronger enforcement of sanitation regulations and improved management of the city's environmental challenges.
