Accra Sports Stadium Upgrade: Technical Inspection Completed Ahead of 2027 AFCON

The National Sports Authority (NSA) says the true condition of the Accra Sports Stadium will soon be revealed after a team of technical experts completed an assessment of the facility.
Director-General of the NSA, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, said the inspection, conducted two weeks ago, will guide decisions on the upgrades needed to bring the stadium up to the required standard.
With Ghana preparing to host the 2027 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, he noted that the renovation and improvement of sports facilities, including the Accra Sports Stadium, have become a priority.
