The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has interdicted four customs officers over their alleged involvement in an attempted diversion of transit cargo into the local market.
The disciplinary action follows investigations into the interception of 18 trucks in February 2026, in a case that has raised concerns over customs compliance, revenue protection, and the integrity of Ghana's transit trade system.
The GRA says the move forms part of efforts to strengthen accountability within the Customs Division and safeguard government revenue.
