$350M COCAINE DESTROYED: Interior Minister Confirms Disposal of Seized Narcotics

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has disclosed that cocaine valued at more than US$350 million, seized at Pedu Junction in the Central Region, has been destroyed following a court order.
Appearing before Parliament's Committee on Assurance, the Minister said authorities followed due legal processes in disposing of the narcotic substance.
He added that evidence of the destruction process has been provided to confirm that the cocaine was completely disposed of in accordance with the court's directive.
The update forms part of ongoing accountability efforts regarding the handling of seized narcotics and national security matters.
